Summary: | The present disclosure provides a polyester and a molded article. The polyester comprises residues of formula (i), formula (ii), formula (iii) and formula (iv): # imgabs0 # wherein R1 is an aryl group, R2 is a C2-C6 linear hydrocarbon group, and * represents a linking bond. The total of the residues of the formula (ii), the formula (iii) and the formula (iv) is 100 mol%, the residues of the formula (iii) account for 50 mol% to 85 mol%, and the residues of the formula (iv) account for 12 mol% to 40 mol%. The polyester provided by the invention has the advantages of excellent impact strength, high stretchability, high hardness, heat resistance and the like, and does not contain BPA.
