Summary:A mixed vertical plug flow reactor includes a bottom inlet and a top outlet, a vertical tubular member disposed between the bottom inlet and the top outlet, where the bottom inlet has a separate gas reactant inlet and a separate liquid reactant inlet, whereby a gas reactant is mixed with a liquid reactant, where the gas reactant is separated from the liquid reactant, and where the gas reactant is separated from the liquid reactant. And the outlet has an extraction port extending sufficiently to retrieve liquid product from the reactor and maintain a gas headspace within the tubular member of the reactor.
