The invention provides a residual session clearing method and device, equipment and a medium. The method comprises the following steps: according to a session deletion request of a control plane network element, confirming that one of the control plane network element and a user plane network element initiates a session auditing process; if it is confirmed that the control plane network element initiates the session audit process, the user plane network element receives a first update request initiated by the control plane network element, and marks user session information in the user plane network element as unaudited according to the first update request; and the user plane network element requests local session information from the control plane network element, marks the user session information which is the same as the local session information as auditing, clears the user session information which is marked as non-auditing, and ends the session auditing process. According to the method provided by the
