Summary: | The invention discloses application of a molecular marker combination in detecting the seed purity of a watermelon variety 'Sumi 518'. Based on simplified genome sequencing results of male and female parents of a watermelon variety 'Sumi 518', two SNP markers suitable for purity identification of 'Sumi 518' seeds are screened, and two primer combinations for detecting the SNP markers are designed. By utilizing the two SNP markers, high-throughput and high-efficiency purity identification of the Sumi 518 seeds can be realized, the defects of time and labor waste in field identification are overcome, and a powerful technical support is provided for guaranteeing the quality of the seeds of the watermelon variety Sumi 518.
