Summary: | The invention discloses liquid crystal polyester and a preparation method and application thereof, and the liquid crystal polyester comprises the following components based on the total amount of repetitive units: 25-70mol% of repetitive units derived from 4-hydroxybenzoic acid; a repeating unit derived from para-aryl dicarboxylic acid, wherein the content of the repeating unit is 7-40 mol%; a repeating unit derived from para-aryl diphenol, wherein the content of the repeating unit is 6-39 mol%; the compound has a bending effect structural repetitive unit, and the content is 1-30 mol%; the repeating unit with the bending effect structure is derived from at least one residue structure of 1, 3-phthalic acid, 3-hydroxybenzoic acid, 6-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid and 2, 6-naphthalic acid. The liquid crystal polyester provided by the invention can balance the contradiction between high melt flowability and crystallinity.
