The invention discloses an application of circular RNA in preparation of a medicine for preventing and/or treating ischemic stroke, and a research result shows that overexpression of the circular RNA not only can relieve acute injury caused by cerebral ischemia reperfusion, but also can improve long-term neurological function impairment caused by cerebral ischemia reperfusion of mice, and can promote angiogenesis after cerebral ischemia reperfusion, so that the circular RNA can be used for preventing and/or treating ischemic stroke. Therefore, a new thought and direction can be provided for treatment of cerebral arterial thrombosis and cerebrovascular diseases of cerebral arterial thrombosis. 本发明公开了环状RNA在制备用于预防和/或治疗缺血性卒中药物中的应用，研究结果表明了环状RNA的过表达不仅可减轻脑缺血再灌注造成的急性损伤，还可改善小鼠脑缺血再灌注所致的长期神经功能损伤，并可促进脑缺血再灌后血管新生，此可为缺血性脑卒中及其脑血管疾病的治疗提供了新的思路与方向。
