Summary: | The present disclosure provides novel bifunctional antagonistic polypeptides comprising at least one TNF-[alpha] binding domain and at least one TNF-[beta] binding domain, which are very capable of isolating TNF-[alpha] and TNF-[beta] in parallel. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions of such bifunctional polypeptide antagonists and their use for the treatment of various complex disease conditions, the pathogenesis of which involves the activation of both the TNF-alpha mediated NF-[kappa] B signaling pathway and the TGF-beta mediated Smad2/3 signaling pathway.
