The present invention relates to a prolipid composition capable of penetrating through the stratum corneum. More specifically, the present invention relates to protolipid compositions that provide personalized benefits by rapidly restoring the natural lipid balance of the skin. Such compositions result in extended fatty acid and/or lipid production in the depth of the stratum corneum and near the surface of the transparent layer.
