Summary: | The invention relates to an optical laminate and an image display device using the same. Provided is an optical laminate in which frame-shaped display defects are suppressed. An optical laminate according to an embodiment of the present invention has a front panel, an adhesive layer, a polarizing plate, and a phase difference layer in this order. The polarizing plate includes a polarizer and a protective layer disposed on the adhesive layer side of the polarizer. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is configured from a photocurable pressure-sensitive adhesive containing a compound having a maximum absorption wavelength of 200-300 nm. The single-body transmittance of the polarizer is 43.3% or more. Alternatively, the moisture permeability of the protective layer is 100 g/cm2.24 hr or less.
