Summary: | The invention relates to a method for producing electrostatic electret fibres, in particular for producing electret fibre formations, in which fibres are produced from synthetic and/or natural materials, a polar liquid is atomized by means of a gaseous pressure medium to produce a treatment aerosol, and the treatment aerosol is dried by means of a drying agent to produce an electrostatic electret fibre, in particular for producing an electret fibre formation. The fibers are treated with a treatment aerosol for electrostatic electrets, the atomization being carried out with the quotient of the volume flow of the polar liquid in liters per hour and the overpressure of the gaseous pressure medium in mbar being 0.004 to 0.008.
