Summary: | A phosphor which contains Cr < 3 + > and emits near-infrared light, the parent crystal of the phosphor having the same crystal structure as the compound Mg3Ga2GeO8, and the fluorescence spectrum FF1 having a fluorescence peak FPF1 in the wavelength range of 700 nm or more and less than 900 nm, a fluorescence spectrum data set (FD), which is an aggregate of spectral intensity per 10 nm of the fluorescence spectrum (FF1), exhibits a unimodal pattern in a wavelength range of 700 nm or more and less than 900 nm.
