The open-air pit filling method comprises the following steps that a filling pipeline extends into an open-air pit; filling a filling layer with the thickness smaller than a first preset value in the open pit with filling slurry through the filling pipeline so as to form a filling body in the filling layer; the open pit is sequentially filled from bottom to top, and a plurality of filling bodies stacked in the vertical direction are formed; wherein in the process of forming each filling body, a water collecting pit is formed in each filling layer, and after water in the water collecting pits is drained through a drainage device, the water collecting pits are filled with filling slurry.
