Summary: | The invention relates to a synthetic method of 4-iodine-2-methylaniline as shown in a formula (1). The method comprises the following step: in an aqueous solution, in the presence of potassium iodide, elemental iodine and iodic acid, performing iodination reaction on 2-methylaniline at C-4 site to synthesize the 4-iodine-2-methylaniline compound. The method has the advantages of high selectivity, simple post-treatment and high product yield and purity, develops a new synthesis route and method for synthesizing 4-iodine-2-methylaniline, and has good application potential and research value.
