The method comprises the following steps: taking a calcareous sand soil sample on site, cleaning, drying, and carrying out a screening test to obtain a grain composition curve; the minimum dry density of the calcareous sand is measured, and a reasonable test value is selected through comparative analysis; determining the maximum dry density of the calcareous sand, and comparing, analyzing and selecting a reasonable test value; sampling on site by using a sampler, drying and weighing to obtain the dry density of the sand sample; and calculating through a formula to obtain the relative compactness.
