Provided are: a preservative accelerator which does not use a preservative which has high preservative properties but induces an inflammatory response and has high irritation, but which has high preservative properties by combining a preservative which has low preservative properties but also has low irritation; and a low-irritation cosmetic containing the preservative accelerator. The preservative accelerator contains at least three kinds of preservatives except phenoxyethanol, paraben and 1, 2-hexanediol, and the low-irritation cosmetic contains the preservative accelerator and does not contain phenoxyethanol, paraben and 1, 2-hexanediol. 本发明提供一种防腐促进剂和含有防腐促进剂的低刺激性化妆品，该防腐促进剂不使用防腐性高但另一方面会诱导炎症反应而刺激性也高的防腐剂，而是通过组合配合防腐性低但刺激性也低的防腐剂而具有更高的防腐性。该防腐促进剂含有除苯氧乙醇、对羟基苯甲酸酯和1,2-己二醇以外的至少3种以上的防腐剂，该低刺激性化妆品是含有该防腐促进剂的低刺激性化妆品，不含苯氧乙醇、对羟基苯甲酸酯和1,2-己二醇。
