The invention provides weathering steel, which belongs to the technical field of steel smelting and rolling and comprises the following chemical components in percentage by mass: 0.015 to 0.05 percent of Ni, 0.2 to 0.5 percent of Cu, 1.6 to 3.0 percent of Cr, less than or equal to 0.120 percent of C and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities. When the Cu-Cr alloy is applied to products such as a photovoltaic support, a compact alpha-FeOOH oxidation rust layer can be formed on the surface of steel through matching of Cu and Cr in proportion, further corrosion of a matrix structure of the steel is prevented, and the corrosion resistance of the steel is improved; due to the addition of Ni, the copper brittleness defect formed by the addition of Cu can be inhibited; by controlling the content of C, the situation that when the content of C is high, corrosion resistance and low-temperature toughness of steel are not affected can be avoided. Therefore, the weathering resistant steel provided by the embodiment o
