Summary: | The invention relates to the technical field of bioengineering, in particular to a mutant respiratory syncytial virus pre-fusion F protein and application thereof. Compared with a wild type respiratory syncytial virus pre-fusion F protein, the mutant respiratory syncytial virus pre-fusion F protein provided by the invention has the following mutations: (a) at least one amino acid residue in an F1 subunit and/or an F2 subunit is substituted by cysteine; (b) amino acid residues at the 104th-144th site of the F protein before fusion of the wild-type respiratory syncytial virus are partially or completely substituted by a connecting peptide, and the length of the amino acid residues of the connecting peptide is at least 2. Compared with similar products, the mutant respiratory syncytial virus pre-fusion F protein has excellent neutralizing antibody binding activity and thermal stability, and is suitable for being developed into one of components of respiratory syncytial virus vaccines.
