Summary:The present invention provides pharmaceutical compositions containing an improved release formulation of an improved form of trimetazidine, such as CV-8972. The compositions include an erodible polymer, such as hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC), which allows for sustained release of the improved form of trimetazidine and its metabolites in vivo.
