Summary: | In order to provide a method for controlling a lifting appliance (1) for moving a weight (8) in a first direction of movement (X) and in a second direction of movement (Y) from a starting point (A) to an end point (E) within a defined working region (15) of the lifting appliance (1), which method is improved over the prior art, independent movements (TEX, TEY) are planned for the first direction of movement (X) and for the second direction of movement (Y), by means of the independent movement, the weight (8) continues to move without colliding with the changed or re-defined obstacle (11).
