Summary: | The present invention addresses the problem of electrochemically producing ammonia. The method for producing ammonia according to the present invention is a method for producing ammonia from nitrogen molecules by supplying electrons from a power source, protons from a proton source, and nitrogen molecules from a mechanism for supplying nitrogen gas in the presence of a molecular catalyst and a solid catalyst in a cathode using a production device for electrolysis. The present invention relates to molecular catalysts and solid catalysts, for example, the use of bis (cyclopentadienyl) titanium dichloride as a molecular catalyst, the use of a metal catalyst, an oxide catalyst, or a combination thereof.
