Summary: | The invention relates to the technical field of biological information, and discloses a method for mining excellent genes of sorghum. The method comprises the following steps: determining quality characters required for breeding sorghum varieties according to literatures or experiences, and selecting the sorghum varieties with or without the required quality characters; gene expression of the sorghum variety transcriptome is obtained through sequencing; and preprocessing the gene expression data of the transcriptome, carrying out feature selection on the preprocessed data for each quality character by utilizing a genetic algorithm, and taking a good gene set of all selected characters as a sorghum good gene set, thereby providing a candidate good gene set for sorghum breeding.
