A forming process is disclosed in which a formed green tire is formed in a tire mold (1), preferably in a tire mold without vent holes. The tyre mould (1) has one or more movable elements for moving the tyre mould (1) from an open position to a closed position. The tyre mould (1) comprises an actuating ring (31), a top plate (25), a bottom plate (23), upper and lower side members (7, 9), a plurality of mould segments (19) and a slider (27), the upper and lower side members (7, 9) and the plurality of mould segments (19) defining a mould cavity, and the tyre mould (1) further comprises sealing means for sealing the mould cavity comprising one or more closing sealing members (39, 41, 43, 45, 47).
