Summary: | The present invention relates to a composition comprising biologically active molecules esculetin and euphorbidin, which have antineoplastic activity and thus can be used for the treatment and/or prevention of cancer, in particular colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer and glioblastoma. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a drug delivery system consisting of calcium phosphate nanoparticles functionalized with said bioactive molecules, preferably obtained from an extract of Euphorbia pekinensis. The invention also relates to a plant-derived ethanol extract obtained from the degreased powder of mature euphorbia pekinensis seeds.
