The invention relates to the technical field of natural product extraction, and particularly discloses a production method and application of a marigold extract. The production method comprises the following steps: (1) mixing fresh marigold flowers with a porous fiber material, crushing, and squeezing and dehydrating until the water content is 40-60% to obtain a first material; (2) adding the porous fiber material again, uniformly mixing the porous fiber material with the first material to obtain a second material, and heating, drying and dehydrating the second material until the water content is 20-30% to obtain a third material; and (3) crushing the third material, and extracting by using an extraction solvent to obtain an extracting solution.
