Summary: | The invention discloses an application of protein ZmRLK9 in regulation and control of corn kernel embryo development and oil content. The amino acid sequence of the protein ZmRLK9 is as shown in SEQ ID NO: 1. Experiments prove that the ZmRLK9 gene is over-expressed in corn to obtain transgenic corn; compared with the starting corn, the embryo area of the transgenic corn and the oil content of mature grains are obviously increased. The ZmRLK9 gene is inhibited in corn, and the ZmRLK9 gene knockout rice is obtained; compared with starting corn, the rice with the ZmRLK9 gene knocked out has the advantage that the embryo area and the oil content of mature grains are remarkably reduced. Therefore, the protein ZmRLK9 can regulate and control the corn kernel embryo development and the oil content. The method has an important application value.
