Summary:The present disclosure invents a catheter balloon that includes a membrane having a proximal end and a distal end. A plurality of substrates are bonded around the film. By using a reinforcement or stress relief, it is possible to increase the ability of the adhesive to withstand repeated stresses during use while also minimizing the overall thickness of the balloon near its distal end. The reinforcement can include a portion of the unassembled membrane. Alternatively, the reinforcement can include an adhesive edge tip.
