SOLUTION: This polycarbonate resin is characterized by containing, in the main chain (A) a constituent unit of formula I [A is F or an F-substituted alkyl (pref. of 3-10C); R to R are each H or F] or (B) a constituent unit of formula II (R and R are each same as R ). This resin is obtained by reaction of a polycarbonate compound such as bisphenol A- or Z-type polycarbonate with the corresponding epoxide (e.g. 3-perfluorobutyl-1,2-epoxypropane, 2,2,3,3,3- tetrafluoropropyl glycidyl ether) in the presence of a base catalyst.
