The present disclosure provides a vehicle with a steering wheel switch and a method for reducing erroneous actuation. A vehicle is provided that includes: a steering wheel; a steering wheel sensor that senses rotational movement of the steering wheel; an accelerator pedal, the accelerator pedal being actuatable to accelerate the vehicle; a brake pedal, the brake pedal being actuatable to decelerate the vehicle; and a sensor that senses a signal indicative of acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle.
