Summary: | The present invention relates to a DNA polymerase variant belonging to family A and a use thereof, and the present invention relates to a DNA polymerase variant which smoothly polymerizes when the base at the 3'end of a primer is complementary to a template, and which suppresses the polymerization when the base at the 3 'end of the primer is not complementary to the template, thereby easily discriminating these two situations. The invention also relates to a PCR method using the variant and a PCR kit comprising the variant. The present invention is useful for single nucleotide polymorphism analysis (SNP genotyping), somatic mutation detection, and the like.
