Summary: | The invention relates to protection of integrated circuits from attacks using voltage monitoring. An integrated circuit (IC) includes a functional circuit and an attack protection circuit (APC). The functional circuit is configured to receive a power voltage from a power input. An APC is coupled to the power supply input and includes a front-end circuit and an averaging circuit. The front-end circuit is configured to compare the supply voltage to a plurality of voltage thresholds and output a respective plurality of indications indicating whether the supply voltage violates a respective voltage threshold. The averaging circuit is to estimate, for a selected subset of the indications, a respective duty cycle of the subset indicating that a respective voltage threshold is exceeded. The APC is to trigger one or more attack detection events in response to the indication and the duty cycle.
