Summary: | The invention relates to the field of fine chemical engineering, and discloses a preparation method of 1, 3-cyclohexanedione. The method comprises the following steps: 1) in the presence of a first alkali and an organic solution, carrying out an addition reaction on acetoacetate and acrylate; 2) contacting the addition reaction product obtained in the step 1) with a second alkali to carry out a decarboxylation reaction, and extracting the decarboxylation product with water to obtain a water phase; (3) carrying out methylation reaction on the water phase obtained in the step (2) and a methylation reagent; (4) enabling the methylation reaction product obtained in the step (3) to be in contact with third alkali to perform ring closing reaction; and (5) enabling the ring closing reaction product obtained in the step (4) to be in contact with acid for neutralization reaction to obtain 1, 3-cyclohexanedione.
