Summary: | A solution to determine how to form a beam when using a cooperative multiple-input multiple-output antenna panel is disclosed. The beam is formed according to a set of beamforming weights, the set of beamforming weights corresponding to a minimum total transmission power from the antenna array of interest to the served terminal device. An optimization is performed to minimize the total transmission power, the optimization being subject to a predefined constraint on a minimum allowable expected value of a signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR). In the optimization, an SINR desired value for the terminal device is calculated based on at least a set of beamforming weights for the served terminal device and weighted second-order statistics, where a weighting factor for the second-order statistics between the served terminal device and the antenna array is 1 and weighting factors for the other second-order statistics are less than 1. Second order statistics are included in the maintained channel state info |
