The invention discloses a vehicle body overall rigidity optimization method and system, and relates to the field of vehicle design and manufacture, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining the sum of strain energy of a single part or a plurality of parts, the total strain energy of a vehicle body, and the overall rigidity of the vehicle body based on a vehicle body rigidity model; the rigidity of a single component or multiple components is changed, and meanwhile the corresponding change of the overall rigidity of the vehicle body is detected; curve fitting is carried out on the rigidity change rate of the single component or the multiple components and the change rate of the overall rigidity of the vehicle body to obtain a logarithmic function; a mathematical model is determined based on the coincidence degree between a curve where a logarithmic function is located and a curve drawn by adopting the proportion of the strain energy of the current component in the total strain energy of the vehicle body as
