The embodiment of the invention relates to a method and a device for enhancing the reliability and performance of a PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel) in a wireless network. The method performed by the UE comprises: receiving (801) a configuration of one or more search space sets for PDCCHs, each search space set comprising a plurality of PDCCH candidates, each PDCCH candidate consisting of a plurality of resource elements, the UE monitoring one or more DCIs having a particular format indicated in the configured PDCCH candidates; (802) wherein a configuration or indication of an association of one or more search space sets with one pool of search space sets is provided to the UE, and at least two PDCCH candidates from the one or more search space sets are associated with the same DCI content; or obtaining, from the network node, an association of two or more TCI states with a single CORESET; and (803) apply the associated configuration or indication to receive the one or more PDCCHs on the search space
