A method for identifying battery quality during battery formation includes: initiating a life cycle after initial battery formation charging of a plurality of batteries; collecting and pre-processing a set of discharge data generated by one of the plurality of batteries during the beginning of the life cycle; calculating a statistical variance from the set of discharge data to determine an estimated probability that satisfies a target battery usage time; and predicting lifetime of the plurality of batteries. 一种用于在电池形成期间鉴定电池质量的方法包括：在对多个电池进行初始电池形成充电之后开始寿命循环；收集和预处理在寿命循环开始期间由多个电池中的一个生成的放电数据集；从放电数据集计算统计方差，以确定满足目标电池使用时间的估计概率；以及预测多个电池的寿命。
