The present invention relates to a composition comprising, in particular in a cosmetically acceptable medium, a) at least one aqueous phase; and b) particles having a number average basic size greater than 0.1 [mu] m, the particles comprising i) a perlite matrix, ii) at least one inorganic UV-screening agent, and iii) a coating of silica, said silica making up at least 1 wt% relative to the total weight of the composite particles.
