The invention relates to a method for producing a transparent shampoo block, said method comprising: i) preparing a solution i) comprising at least one N-acylamino acid and water, said solution i) having a temperature of 70 DEG C to 100 DEG C, preferably 75 DEG C to 90 DEG C, more preferably 80 DEG C to 88 DEG C; ii) preparing a solution ii) comprising at least one base and water, said solution ii) having a temperature of 70 DEG C to 100 DEG C, preferably 75 DEG C to 90 DEG C, more preferably 80 DEG C to 88 DEG C; iii) adding the solution ii) to the solution i) while stirring at a temperature of 70 DEG C to 100 DEG C, preferably 75 DEG C to 90 DEG C, more preferably 80 DEG C to 88 DEG C to obtain a homogeneous transparent solution iii); and iv) cooling said solution iii) to room temperature, wherein: a) at least one alcohol is contained in said solution i) and/or said solution ii) and/or said solution iii); b) the water is contained in a total amount of no more than 40% by weight, preferably no more than 30%
