The set of electrode constrains includes a primary constraining system having first and second primary growth constrains separated from each other in the longitudinal direction, where the primary constraining array constrains growth of the electrode assembly in the longitudinal direction, and at least one primary connecting member connecting the first and second primary growth constrains to the first and second primary growth constrains.
