Summary: | A system and method for performing 3D imaging of a complex object whose image data may be lost is provided. Available 3D image data is combined with missing/losing of image data, allowing calculation of x, y, and z dimensions. The missing/loss of data is assumed to be only other types of image data, and represents that there is a matter that prevents precise data from being generated in the subject image. A data segment may be connected to a region of missing data and generate a maximum bounding box. The shadow generated by the object can be represented as negative or missing data, but does not represent a physical object. A height of the positive data, an object shadow size based on the height, a position in the FOV, and a ray angle of the generated image are estimated and the object shadow size is removed from the result.
