The invention discloses a method for preparing high-softening-point spinnable asphalt from coal pitch through halogenation and dehalogenation as well as a product and application thereof, and relates to the technical field of coal chemical industry and spinnable asphalt materials. The method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing coal pitch, a methylation reagent, a halogenation reagent and a catalyst, and carrying out halogenation reaction to obtain bromine/chloromethylated coal pitch; and performing high-temperature heat treatment on the bromine/chloromethylated coal pitch to obtain the high-softening-point spinnable pitch. According to the invention, bromine/chloromethyl side chains are introduced to aromatic rings and heteroaromatic rings of coal pitch through halogenation and dehalogenation, and then dehalogenation reaction is carried out among aromatic molecules containing the bromine/chloromethyl side chains to obtain the high-softening-point spinnable pitch.
