Summary: | Devices, systems, and methods are provided for delivering pulsed electric field (PEF) energy to tissue through one or more energy delivery bodies, each having one or more electrodes. The PEF energy is generated from a waveform having a plurality of features. Waveform delays, such as inter-pulse delays, inter-cycle delays, inter-phase delays, inter-packet delays, inter-beam delays, may be utilized in therapy to obtain desired results. In particular, these delays may be operated specifically to obtain a particular desired result. For example, one, some, or all of these delays may be operated to control various aspects of PEF therapy in order to mitigate any associated risk, such as gas formation, discharge, cavity formation, muscle contraction, and temperature rise, just by several examples. In some embodiments, the period of dispensing PEF energy delivery is delayed, resulting in significant changes and optimizations in therapeutic delivery outcomes.
