The method comprises the steps of obtaining the total freight, the ship type and the proportion of the freight borne by the ship type in a prediction year; calculating the total sub-sequence of each ship type in the prediction year; randomly combining the ship type and the ship number into the same lockage batch; according to the lengths and widths of the ship locks and the lengths and widths of the ships, a two-dimensional boxing algorithm is adopted to determine the formation mode of the ships in the same lockage batch; the predicted annual freight total amount is calculated according to the formation mode, and the ship type of each ship in the formation mode is equal to the average loading tonnage of a single gate of total sub-train; and taking the maximum value in the average single lock load tonnage calculated by the plurality of formation modes as the predicted annual ship lock trafficability.
