Summary:The present invention relates to systems and methods for optical power distribution to a large number of sample wells within an integrated device that can analyze individual molecules and perform nucleic acid sequencing. The integrated device may include: a grating coupler configured to receive a light beam from a light source; and an optical splitter configured to distribute optical power of the grating coupler to a waveguide of the integrated device, the waveguide positioned to couple with the sample well.
