Summary: | A miniature electric motor has permanent magnets (2) mounted on an inner circumferential surface (11) of a casing (3), a rotor (4) rotatably supported in an interior (21) of the casing, and a commutator (14) of the rotor and brushes (16) which are provided in the interior of the casing and are in sliding engagement with each other. One or more organic dicarbonates (e.g. dialkyl or dialkylene carbonates) are sealed in the interior of the casing to reduce the contact resistance between the commutator and the brushes and to stabilise the motor performance whilst suppressing wear of the sliding components to prolong the service life of the motor. |
