The invention provides a voltage detector having reliable and high-speed detection responsiveness when an instantaneous voltage drops. A voltage detector (10) is provided with: a voltage divider circuit (110) that outputs a divided voltage (Vd) by dividing a battery voltage (Vs), which is input via a detection terminal (T2), by means of divider resistors (Ra, Rb); a comparison circuit (120) that outputs, through a transistor (M1) having a threshold voltage (Vth) for determining that the battery voltage is a low voltage, a voltage corresponding to the result of comparing the divided voltage and the threshold voltage; an output transistor (M5) that outputs a reset signal in accordance with the output voltage of the comparison circuit; and an instantaneous voltage drop detection circuit (130) that, when the battery voltage drops instantaneously, outputs the reset signal from the output transistor on the basis of the high-frequency component of the battery voltage detected from the detection terminal before the d
