The invention discloses degradable water-absorbing epoxy resin as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The degradable water-absorbing epoxy resin is prepared from hydantoin epoxy resin, a comonomer capable of being selectively added, a cationic curing agent and a catalyst capable of being selectively added.
