This machine tool is provided with: a movable drum base (4); a drum (5) which is assembled on the drum pedestal (4) and has a circular outer shape; and a sleeve-type main shaft (6) that penetrates in the direction of the central axis of the drum (5) and is capable of adjusting the amount of extension from the drum (5), and a bearing provided along the outer periphery of the drum (5) is interposed between the drum pedestal (4) and the drum (5), whereby the drum (5) can rotate within the drum pedestal (4).
