Summary: | A battery cell comprising a negative electrode, a positive electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte mixture is described. The positive electrode includes a lithium metal oxide, and the negative electrode is selected from the group consisting of an intercalated metal, a metal oxide, a metal carbide, a composite formed of the intercalated metal or metal oxide and carbon. The electrolyte mixture comprises at least one compound (1), a lithium salt (1) and a lithium salt (2). The battery cell is used to suppress harmful side reactions that can cause gas formation. Meanwhile, the internal resistance is not increased. In addition, the conductivity of the electrolyte is improved. Furthermore, a corresponding electrolyte mixture is described.
