Summary: | The present technology discloses a technology that enables a carriage printer to reduce accuracy in a media conveyor by improving mobility of a carriage. The carriage includes a moving jet plate that adjusts the position of the printhead within the carriage. The mobile jet plate includes a plurality of motors that are displaceable on an axis that matches the axis of the media. Operating a motor of the jet plate at different positions or different intensities causes the jet plate to deflect and effect multi-axis movement. A set of sensors monitors media skew, and displacement of the moving jet plate can compensate for such skew. Another set of motors displaces the carriage to compensate for deformation of the beam along which the carriage shuttles.
