The invention discloses a passenger elevator with harmonic processing and a filtering method thereof. The passenger elevator comprises an elevator control system, a harmonic detection unit, a control unit and a harmonic impact unit. The harmonic detection unit detects higher harmonics in a feeder line of the elevator control system; the control unit divides the higher harmonics into a plurality of higher harmonic groups according to the harmonic order; the harmonic impulsion unit generates higher harmonic suppression currents for suppressing the corresponding groups of higher harmonics. The harmonic detection unit, the control unit and the harmonic impulsion unit are arranged between the elevator control system and the power grid, higher harmonics in an acquisition circuit are detected, the higher harmonics directly facing different harmonic frequencies are classified, the higher harmonics are suppressed through harmonic suppression current generated by a damping circuit of the harmonic impulsion unit, and th
